Suzanne Paschall
Suzanne is a pianist, songwriter and singer who has written songs for recording artists like Chantal Chamberland and for the stage. She has performed across Western Canada, and recorded with other bands. She released her first full length CD, Life Sentences, in 2004.
Education/Training Background
She has a Masters Degree in Continuing Education from the University of Calgary, and has been a professional trainer for 20 years. She has done workshops at youth and Family Millennium Conferences across Western Canada, including northern reserves from Meadow Lake, Wollaston Lake and LaRonge in Saskatchewan to Burns Lake in BC. She has also done training for national and international corporate clients, often utilizing musical components in working with employees of organizations on team building, leadership and communications.

Tommy Dahl
Tommy is a long-time favorite performer with the North Battleford Big Band, and a regular at the Saskatchewan International Jazz Festival. Tommy recently went home to Winnipeg, but returns to Saskatchewan to work with Suzanne. He has played keyboards, written and arranged musical works and album projects for Lorrie Church, Lisa dal Bello, Angela Kelman (helping her to form Farmer’s Daughter) and Wilma Groenen. He dazzles audiences with his amazing honky-tonk and boogie-woogie playing skills. He also sings and is a talented arranger, and performs on and is arranger/producer of Life Sentences.
Education/Training Background
With his BA Honours in Psychology, Tommy also contributes 17 years of experience and skills as an addictions counselor and program facilitator for Saskatchewan Young Offenders and Federal Corrections.

Sheldon Corbett (tenor/soprano saxophone)
Sheldon Corbett is one of Saskatchewan's most active freelance musicians; performing on saxophone and piano in a variety of styles, writing, arranging, recording, and teaching. He leads his own jazz group, The Sheldon Corbett Quartet and performs regularly with The Metro Jazz Ensemble, BC Read, Brenda Baker, the Kenny Marco Trio and Zyde-Gogo, among others.
In the recording studio, Sheldon has been writer and producer of jingle campaigns for over two hundred clients and has been involved as producer and/or writer of many other demo, album and soundtrack projects.
Sheldon’s technical soundness and creative playing is showcased on Life Sentences. Sheldon is well-known for his amazing creativity, technical proficiency and great reliability as a performer and studio musician.
Bill Watson (percussion)
Long-time jazz drummer Bill Watson was born in Saskatoon and has played various cities across Canada including Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. He has played with such notables as Gordie Brandt, Barney Kutz, Skip Kutz, Jon Ballantine, Almeta Speaks, Big Miller, Mike Rudd, and P.J. Perry.
From 1991-2001 he co-owned Emily’s Jazz Restaurant in Saskatoon with partner Bev MacDonald promoting jazz. He continues to play and promote live jazz wherever and whenever he can.
Skip Kutz (bass)
Skip Kutz is a journeyman bassist. Studying with Guy Fallot of the Paris Conservatory and Warren Benfield, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Kutz spent twenty years as a cellist and bassist with the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra. As an accompaniest he has worked with such luminaries as the Mamas and Papas, Colin James, the Sons of the Pioneers, Almeta Speaks and John Ylvisaker. He has over thirty CBC Radio and Telivision appearances to his credit, as well as CTV, Global Television and Access Alberta appearances. Currently, he is the executive producer for the SSO's recordings of Neil Currie compositions. Kutz is the former president of the Saskatoon Musicians' Association and is the current president of the Saskatchewan Arts Alliance.
